Our House Update!
This is what we hope will be our new house. We are having some issues with the appraisal that was done for us to get a VA loan. So as for now it isn't ours yet but cross your fingers for us. ( And it only looks pinkish in the picture, it isn't really) We are guessing if the issues get resolved we still won't be closing on the original date however my mom did offer her couch for a few nights. I just hope we don't have to take her up on it as we will be moving from our current location by the 31st of March.

Girl after my own heart....
This morning, as Stuart was getting ready to go to Pepper spray training, Emily asked where Daddy was going, I told her to work and she replied: "But where is Daddy's hot suit he usually wears?" I knew exactly what she was talking about, as a little girl just her age, I would wait up on Tuesday nights for my dad to come home in his hot suit (Uniform). There is nothing better than seeing them in their uniforms, it is strength, safety, security, pride, love and honor....
We Love you!
Daddy in his hot suit!
Stuart's week at the office...
This last week has been quite eventful for Stuart, his unit is training their guys (and gals) to carry taser guns. And part of the training suggests, they get tased to understand the effects it has on the people they might have to tase.
Stuart described his experience as the longest and worst 5 seconds of his life. But, he got the taser cartridge he was shot with, I know, awesome right? I have it on my desk at work...
And today, is Pepper spray training. He is going to a class to be an instructor to teach his unit how to use pepper spray, and yep you guessed it, he gets ( yeah gets, more like has to) be pepper sprayed...
I will update you all as to how this goes today.

Update! 02/23/09
The last 2 months have flown by, nothing super exciting to tell, except our house search is still going. When that finally happens I will post a bunch of pictures but until then, I won't bore you with all the details.
Our sweet babysitter, Kathy is moving to Springville to help her sister. We love her and will miss her so much, her and her family will always be considered part of ours. She has been such a blessing to us and I hope she knows how much we appreciate her.
Emily is doing very well, getting so big and tall. She loves school, she wants so badly to be able to read. Her next task is to learn to tie her shoes. Grandma Jarvis is going to help her learn how.
Sam has hit the terrible two's... He is such a busy boy, he can demolish a room in 5 seconds flat. And at the same time, he is such a sweet little tender hearted boy. We are still working on the talking thing, he is getting a bit better but now we are up to 5 favorite words, Mom, Dad, No, ouch and Mine...
Stuart is going well, he has been practicing for this years Shooting season and has been working hard at helping me find a house.
Well, that is us, not much happening over the last little while, but if anything exciting pops up, I will be sure to let you know.

December 26, 2008 Elk Hunt Deprivation tag
Brian wanted to go hunting SO BAD when he came home for Christmas and of course, Stuart was more than willing to go and help him out. Brian purchased a tag from a land owner in Duechesne, so the day after Christmas they headed out, Guess what? They got a great cow elk.... it was late the night they got home and didn't make it to the processor's so they did the only other thing they could do.
HUNG IT IN MY TREE!
Over the next few days, Brian and Stuart cut up the elk on their own and Brian was nice enough to leave us a few steaks and roasts. Boy did She taste GOOD! Good Hunting guys. Lets hope for My and Stuart's tags we get them filled also, but next time we are taking it to the processor's

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
Not a very clear picture but I was amazed Sam didn't cry!
Every year on Christmas eve, we go to my parents house to celebrate, this year we had soup and salad, it was really good. My Parents, Todd & Jennifer ( Lauren, Jenessa and Paige) Brian & Paula (Tyler & Carson) Stuart and I (Emily and Sam) and Wayne & Danielle were all there. It was so nice to be together. One of my favorite times of year, mostly for Grandma Jarvis' graham cracker cookies ( pure heaven) and we all try to get together if we can. And if need be, fight over the cookies, and yes I usually win.
Christmas Day 2008
All Emily could talk about wanting was a doll named Emily Elisabeth, that looked just like her. Well Santa didn't disappoint. It looks just like her down to the earrings.
Sam wanted Bumble Bee and Optmimus Prime from Transformers, and boy was he excited!
Thank you Santa!
Christmas night, we all headed up to see my Grandma Johnson. A life long family tradition... It was really good to see her and we sure love her tons. After, we went back to my mom's house for one last Surprise. Wayne and Danielle are expecting in August. We are all SO EXCITED for them, what a fantastic Christmas announcement. LOVE YOU GUYS!

A Child's Prayer
Two nights ago Emily was saying her prayers before bedtime. And I have to share a bit of it, ( to share it all, you would be reading for a very long time)
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for my eyes so I can see, my ears so I can hear and my mouth so I can eat, and my nose with those two holes in it, so I can get the boogers.
Amen!
